Erich von Däniken claims that aliens were once on Earth and influenced development. With this thesis he became one of the most successful non-fiction authors in the world. The Swiss is still successful today, although his hypotheses do not even seem worthy of discussion to many scientists. He is certain: "Science and the media do not dare to tell the truth." What is the current scientific status in the search for extraterrestrial life and the origin of humans? What is the difference between science and pseudoscience?
